The Bundesverband Praktizierender Tierärzte e.V. (bpt) is a professional organisation representing the interests of practising veterinarians in Germany. It is committed to the interests of veterinarians and promotes professional exchange and further training within veterinary medicine. The association represents the professional interests of its members vis-à-vis politicians, authorities and other institutions and is actively involved in promoting animal health and animal welfare. The bpt also contributes this expertise to the EuroTier Innovation Commission and, together with the DLG, presents the Animal Welfare Award at EuroTier.

Bundesverband Rind und Schwein e.V. (BRS)

The Bundesverband Rind und Schwein e.V. (BRS) is the umbrella organisation for German cattle and pig production. It promotes German animal breeding and husbandry as well as the quality of animal production through its diverse activities. At EuroTier, the BRS organises a joint stand for its member organisations in the cattle and pig specialist groups. The BRS also participates in the TopTierTreff events. The association is also co-organiser of the "International Cattle & Pig Event".

Bundesverband für Tiergesundheit e.V.

TheFederal Association for Animal Health e.V.(BfT) represents the leading manufacturers of veterinary medicinal products, veterinary technology products, diagnostics and, where processed, digital monitoring applications, medicated feed, feed additives and feed supplements in Germany. The Federal Association is committed to the responsible use of veterinary medicinal products and to knowledge-based and innovation-friendly framework conditions in order to ensure the provision of high-quality products for the health and welfare of farm animals, small animals and pets and thus contribute to an active and carefree coexistence of humans and their animals, to the control of animal diseases and to a safe, high-quality and resource-conserving food supply.

At EuroTier, the BfT, together with the German Cattle and Pig Association (BRS), will be presenting further modules on claw health and metabolic health in dairy cows. The BfT and BRS are thus building on theHealthy Calf | Healthy Cow platforminitiated in 2022. The aim of the initiative partners is to provide farmers with quick guidance on the key points of dairy herd health management.

Deutscher Verband Tiernahrung e. V. (DVT)

The German Pet Food Association (DVT) is an independent trade association that represents the interests of companies that produce, store and trade feed (compound feed, mineral feed, straight feed, etc.), premixes and additives for livestock and pets. The DVT is heavily involved in DLG committees such as the DLG Feed and Feeding Working Group. In addition to exhibiting at EuroTier, the DVT also plays a key role in supporting trade communication and the exhibition on the subject of animal feed.

Donau Soja is a non-profit, independent association who supports its partners and members in progressing change to address social, environmental, and economic challenges in soya, legumes and protein production and consumption. This will increase efficiency, fairness and sustainability in European food and feed protein value chains.

European Dairy Farmers e.V. (EDF)

European Dairy Farmers (EDF) is a global network of dairy farmers seeking inspiration and knowledge exchange. EDF provides a platform for interactive discussions and knowledge sharing to improve farmers' strategic decision-making processes. In cooperation with national advisory organisations and scientific institutes, EDF carries out comprehensive analyses to standardise the profitability of milk production in the member countries. Every year, 300 dairy farmers take part in the EDF production cost comparison and participate in benchmarking with various groups. The EDF Congress is a three-day event full of inspiration, knowledge exchange and networking opportunities with dairy enthusiasts from all over the world. Each year, over 350 farmers, partners and experts from the dairy industry come together to discuss global issues and gain insights into dairy farming practices in different host countries.

European Pig Producers e.V. (EPP)

It is becoming increasingly important for pig producers in Europe to think internationally and keep an eye on global trends. For this reason, the EPP network was founded in Denmark in 1990. The aim of the organisation is to exchange experience and information across national borders. The transfer of knowledge takes place during the annual congress, study trips or meetings at EuroTier in Hanover. Here, the more than 600 members regularly find out about the latest developments and innovations in pig farming, pig feeding, animal welfare and management. As a partner of EuroTier and the DLG, the European Pig Producers Club co-organises the "International Cattle & Pig Event", which traditionally brings together cattle and pig farmers, consultants, scientists and company representatives at EuroTier to discuss current political and social challenges in livestock farming.

European Poultry Club e.V. (EPC)

German Biogas Association

With over 4,700 members, the BIOGAS Association is the largest German and European organisation representing the interests of the biogas industry. It brings together and represents the interests of substrate suppliers, plant planners, plant manufacturers, biogas plant operators, energy suppliers, science and administration at national and international level.

The aim of the association's work is to expand biogas production and utilisation for the supply of electricity, heat and fuel, for Germany as a business location and for effective climate protection. The expansion of site-adapted biogas production is intended to ensure a secure, sustainable, decentralised energy supply adapted to regional contexts with positive environmental effects.

The BIOGAS trade association creates national and international platforms for the exchange of opinions and knowledge and pools the expertise thus formed by coordinating the industry players.

Forum Moderne Landwirtschaft e.V.

Associations, organisations and companies from the agricultural sector have joined forces in the Forum Modern Agriculture. Their common aim is to provide information about modern agriculture and to strengthen the dialogue between society and agriculture. The association has 75 members and is supported by 175 agricultural businesses. ISN – Interessengemeinschaft der Schweinehalter Deutschlands e.V.

The ISN represents the interests of market-oriented and specialised pig farmers in Germany. The ISN is active nationwide for its approx. 9,000 members in the areas of market, politics and economic services.

The aim of the association is to sustainably improve the competitive position of pig farmers. To this end, comprehensive expertise is utilised in dealings with market partners, politicians and authorities. International expertise is continuously expanded through close dialogue, e.g. with the European Pig Producers (EPP) and regular participation in the world's leading exhibition for animal husbandry professionals, EuroTier in Hanover.

VDMA Power Systems

The Power Systems Association in the German Engineering Federation is the information and communication platform for manufacturers of

Association of Chambers of Agriculture (VLK)

The Association of Chambers of Agriculture (VLK) is the umbrella organisation of the chambers of agriculture and the only neutral platform in Germany for coordinating cooperation between the chambers of agriculture and the federal states in the areas of education, consulting, environment, production, market and applied research. The agricultural administrations and organisations of all federal states are networked in the committee work. Representatives of federal ministries, federal authorities and federal associations are involved in this co-operation through guest status. The focus here is on the exchange of information and experience, the joint publication of trial results and results from project work, coordination on the division of labour in trials, the joint creation of working materials and further training for advisors.

Zentralverband der Deutschen Geflügelwirtschaft e.V.

The Zentralverband der Deutschen Geflügelwirtschaft e. V. (Central Association of the German Poultry Industry), based in the Haus der Land- und Ernährungswirtschaft in Berlin, has been the umbrella and umbrella organisation of the German poultry industry since 1967. For its approximately 8,000 members, the ZDG represents the interests of an important industry and is an important point of contact for politicians and the public at national and EU level.

The association is organised into federal associations, in which the specialist work is carried out, and lives the federal idea through strong state associations. The ZDG Executive Committee brings together representatives from all specialist areas and the regional associations. The ZDG is the mouthpiece for the political realisation of the specialist work carried out in the federal associations.

The ZDG exclusively supports EuroTier as the leading exhibition for the poultry industry and presents a cutting-edge specialist and exhibition programme together with the DLG's specialist centre.

The Lower Saxony State Milk Testing Association (LKV) organises impartial milk testing and quality control. Over 5,000 farms – representing around 85 per cent of all dairy farms in Lower Saxony – as well as numerous North German dairies, breeding associations and other partners rely on our services.

Our comprehensive analyses provide direct support on your farm:

• Practical herd management: Precise data provides you with reliable support for feed management, udder health monitoring and well-informed selection decisions.
• Independent basis for advice: The results obtained serve as a neutral and valuable basis for on-farm advice and the targeted work of Lower Saxony’s breeding organisations.
• Transparent quality assessment: In our affiliated milk laboratories, we objectively analyse raw milk quality, thereby laying the foundation for fair, quality-based payment for raw milk.

Through our work, we establish a reliable foundation for the entire value chain. Animal welfare, animal health and quality are at the heart of everything we do.

The Sächsischer Landeskontrollverband e.V. (LKV) is the state association for performance and quality testing. The LKV was founded more than 30 years ago by farmers and dairies as a self-help organisation. Together with LKS – Landwirtschaftliche Kommunikations- und Servicegesellschaft mbH – it sees itself as a neutral, reliable and competent partner for modern, resource-efficient and, at the same time, performance-oriented agriculture and livestock farming. The LKV and LKS offer services in the areas of milk yield and raw milk quality testing, traceability (RS HIT), agricultural services relating to milking technology, and laboratory analyses of feed, water, slurry, soil, foodstuffs and various matrices with regard to metabolic parameters.

As an independent and impartial association, LKV Berlin-Brandenburg eV offers a wide range of services covering all areas of agriculture. In addition to its statutory duties – the organisation and implementation of the ‘milk yield and quality testing’ scheme and the ‘recording of characteristics relating to the health and resilience of dairy cows’ included therein – the ‘Milk Quality Test’ and the ‘Identification and Registration of Farm Animals’, the association offers a range of additional services. These include a comprehensive range of tests for the analysis of agricultural soils, animal feed and drinking water, as well as inputs and outputs for biogas plants and their fermenter substrates. As early as 1994, the LKV testing laboratory was the first in Germany to be accredited to DIN ISO 45001 and later to 17025.

The focus of the work is on the rapid processing of samples, the continuous improvement and updating of laboratory equipment, targeted staff training and the expansion of the range of tests offered.

Working together for quality and animal health

For dairy farms, it is vital to have the right information about their animals, productivity and animal health. By carrying out milk testing, the State Milk Testing Association (LKV) provides vital information for farm management and breeding. In addition, the LKV offers its members a wide range of other services relating to milk.

As part of the milk testing scheme, the milk yield of every lactating cow is recorded monthly and a milk sample is analysed in our laboratory using state-of-the-art equipment. This analysis determines the milk’s fat, protein, lactose, urea and somatic cell count. The results enable conclusions to be drawn about the health and feeding of the dairy cows. Member farms can view the milk testing results, together with valuable analyses, via the members’ portal, updated daily online, or via the monthly report. The results also provide a reliable data basis for advisers and vets, helping to identify weaknesses and recognise trends quickly.

The LKV is a competent and important partner for its member farms, promoting herd management, farm profitability and animal health through its range of services.
